Welcome to the Dacorum & Tring Athletics Club
website. Dacorum Athletic Club and Tring Athletic Club joined forces to
become Dacorum and Tring Athletic Club in 1995 – having been in
existence as individual clubs since 1976 and 1980 respectively.
We are a friendly, ambitious athletics club, competing
in Track & Field, Cross-Country and Road Running. We welcome
male and female athletes of all abilities, and our aim is to develop
and widen the skills of all our members and encourage them to achieve
their full potential.
Training
Training for all events is held on Tuesday and Thursday
evenings at the Sportspace Athletics Track, located at Jarman Park,
between 6.30 and 8.30pm. Times vary for different age groups, so please
check with the relevant coaches. Training fees are £2.00 per session.
During the winter months we also use a local gym for
circuit training on Tuesday evenings.
Tring
In the summer (Easter to September) we hold middle
distance and basic sprint training at Tring School field on Tuesdays
and Thursdays between 7 and 8.15pm. On Sundays we hold endurance
training at Tring Park between 9.30 and 11.15am.
In the winter circuit training is held on Tuesdays
between 7 and 8.15pm at Tring School gym. Meet at the gym also for road
running which takes place on Thursdays between 7 and 8.15pm. On
Sundays, we hold endurance training between 9.30 and 11.15am which
includes hill work and use of the fitness trail at Halton Woods - we
meet at the exit gate of the Forestry Commission. Contact Mike Quincey
